Rick Rork Returns to the WilbertEDU® Stage with Fascinating and Instructional Webinar

Embalming the Edematous Case

Overland Park, KS, June 6, 2022 – WilbertEDU is pleased to announce another informative webinar to be held on June 23, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. CDT. Edema is a common problem with which today’s embalmers are often faced. Edema, sometimes severe, occurs not only as a condition of disease, but also because of heroic medical treatment in today’s hospitals. The edematous case presents many problems for the embalmer, including preservation and viewability. How we handle these cases can mean the difference between a successful embalming and an embalming failure. In this one-hour presentation Mr. Rork will discuss this condition, the problems it presents for the embalmer, historical and modern treatments, embalming chemicals, as well as other embalming considerations. This program is certified with the Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice (APFSP) for one (1) hour of continuing education*.
