Moore Funeral Service Joins Jersey Memorial Group

Old Bridge, NJ – David L. Hernandez, Jr., Founder of Jersey Memorial Group, a leading provider of funeral services, is pleased to announce the acquisition of Moore Funeral Service comprised of Mathis Funeral Home,  Huber-Moore Funeral Home, and Moore Funeral Home, located in Burlington County. The  acquisition expands Jersey Memorial Group’s holdings in Burlington County and affirms it as  the largest privately owned operator in the state of New Jersey.

David L. Hernandez Jr., Founder of Jersey Memorial Group commented, “I am honored to  continue the legacy built by the Moore family. Their commitment to their families,  community and team made this a perfect fit.”

The family of funeral homes has been under the leadership and direction of Dawn Moore  along with her children for more than a decade. As an active member in the community,  Dawn recognized the need for additional support for grieving families. Her response to that  need was to become one of the first operators to become a certified Grief Recovery  Specialist, providing this resource to families and the community.

“Our family always felt a need to go above and beyond. Our caring funeral directors have  always provided opportunities for families to say their final good-byes in special and  meaningful ways” Dawn Moore said. “These funeral homes have been such a big part of our  family’s life that it was very important to me to find the right funeral director that would maintain high standards yet lead the firms into the future. After meeting David, our family  knew it was the right fit. I am excited about the possibilities of working with him and his  team.”

“We have been operating in and around Burlington County for many years, we are eager  serve and get acquainted in these additional communities. They have a great team in place, and we look forward to this exciting opportunity in our home state,” stated Michael Grandi,  Vice President of Funeral Operations of Jersey Memorial Group.
