Hope you all are enjoying these li’l tips here with me at the home of the #EmbalmingTipOfTheWeek!

Cold Hands Embalming Tip of the Week: Use massage cream and a safety pin 🧷 to keep your adhesive from drying out prematurely

If you are like me you HATE to reach for a tube of adhesive just to find the little tube (which has been used only ONCE) is clogged and glued shut.

Countless “clothing only” scissors ✂️ have been abused in prep rooms around the world due to this unfortunate yet repeatedly accurate situation.

I gained this tip from another Embalmer who was happy to have me share it.

Here is how it works:

  • Simply “burp” the adhesive bottle by squeezing ever so gently to release and air bubbles
  • Wipe the tip clean with alcohol (I keep little single use disposable alcohol pads handy for this)
  • Dip your safety pin 🧷 in massage cream of your favorite brand and insert into the nozzle
  • Store adhesive bottle UPRIGHT

Hope you like this week’s tip! Until next time Happy Embalming
