Clark Legacy Center Joins Foundation Partners Group
Orlando, FL – Foundation Partners Group, a leading provider of innovative funeral and cemetery experiences and products, has announced the acquisition of Clark Legacy Center in Central Kentucky. The acquisition adds three new locations in Nicholasville, Frankfort, and Versailles, KY to the Foundation Partners network and expands its footprint into the state for the first time.
“The Clark family’s Legacy Center approach to funeral service perfectly aligns with our ShareLife philosophy,” said Bob Bukala, Foundation Partners Group CEO. “They are leaders in providing exceptional, innovative care to families in Kentucky and we are excited to welcome them to the Foundation Partners family.”
The Clark Family has been serving their community since 1915 when D.R. Duell opened the first location in Versailles, KY. Dorsey Clark joined the funeral home in 1946 and his son, the current owner and operator David Clark joined in 1973. David Clark and his wife Julie expanded their family funeral home in 2000 with the purchase of an additional location in Frankfort, KY. Their son, Guy, joined the business in 2003, and their daughter Linzi joined in 2007.
In 2007, David originated the concept for Clark Legacy Center. “We were painting every service with the same brush and I grew tired of the traditional funeral home model,” David Clark said. “Expanding our services and building new facilities where our community could truly celebrate their loved ones’ lives brought me back to our mission of helping families.” Today, the firm has two full-service life celebration facilities in Frankfort and Nicholasville, in addition to their original location in Versailles.
“Joining Foundation Partners was a perfect fit for us,” added Clark. “They can help us grow our business and we can help them continue to revolutionize the funeral service customer experience.”
“Foundation Partners Group’s strategy is to team up with likeminded independent operators in the funeral profession who believe in serving their communities with compassion, innovation, and a people focus,” stated Justin Baxley, Vice President of Business Development at Foundation Partners Group. “Clark Legacy Center has an exceptional reputation in the Central Kentucky area, and we look forward to our partnership.”
“We are always looking to help independent funeral homes with their succession planning – even during a pandemic,” added Tom Kominsky, CFO at Foundation Partners Group. “Our belief is that other firms in Kentucky who also value innovation, personalization, and compassionate care will be interested in learning more about joining the Foundation Partners family.”
