Rollings Funeral Service Announces Partnership With Virginia Funeral and Cremation Firms
TYRONE, GA — Rollings Funeral Service is proud to announce their most recent partnership with Brooks Lyon Funeral Home (South Boston, VA), Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home, and the Cremation Society of Virginia (both of Clarksville, VA). The three firms, both formerly owned by Michael Lyon and his wife, Jane, have been serving their communities for decades.
Greg Rollings, President & CEO, of Rollings Funeral Service commented “Like Debbie and myself, Jane and Michael are a husband and wife team that have a strong passion for serving others and that passion is evident by the incredible reputation they’ve built for their businesses. We always look for firms that espouse family values and look to lift up their communities and we knew right away that Michael and Jane would fit right in with the Rollings family of firms.” Rollings also added that, currently, this marks their first partnership in Virginia.
Michael and Jane have dedicated their lives to helping those going through life’s most difficult moments, and the idea of wanting to solely focus on that is what brought them to Rollings Funeral Service. Faced with other interested partners, they ultimately chose Rollings Funeral Service because Greg and Debbie Rollings are a family team and, according to Lyon, “Immediately, you can tell they’re people of integrity and principles.” Lyon also noted that he is excited that Rollings Funeral Service will now be able to handle the administrative side of the businesses which will allow him and the staff to focus more on caring for their client families.
Combined, the three firms serve around 250 families annually.
With over 50 locations now along the east coast, Rollings Funeral Service is one of the largest private funeral home owners in the eastern United States. Rollings prides themselves on being a great alternative to selling to a publicly traded company and they continue to search for firms that will be a great fit for their growing family of funeral homes.
The NewBridge Group, a full-service mergers and acquisition consulting company, assisted in the transaction.
