Mark Cuban Says Funeral Professionals Are ‘Unsung Heroes’
[UPDATED: 10:37am EST – Thursday] In a tweet sent out on Wednesday morning by Anthony Kaniuk, Senior Business Development Executive, for the National Funeral Directors Association, Mark Cuban, shares a much-deserved thank you message for deathcare workers.
Thank you Mark!! Who else would like to say a few words to the funeral profession? @TheEllenShow @garyvee @TheRock @heidiklum @AmyEarnhardt @davidrocknyc @TeamGaryVee @GrantCardone @RobinRoberts pic.twitter.com/wfZRqbLTPE

Mark Cuban is the owner of the Dallas Mavericks NBA franchise and apparently has a direct connection to Kaniuk (very nice!). However, Cuban is no stranger to deathcare. In 2019, on Shark Tank, Cuban invested $600,000 in Eterneva, a company that creates diamonds from the ashes of customers’ loved ones.
We still aren’t sure how Kaniuk got the video from Cuban but who cares, it’s pretty awesome and well deserved for funeral professionals.
**Update** The source of the video has been found! Eterneva has brought together a coalition of death care professionals including the NFDA and the Funeral Service Foundation, the charticable arm of the NFDA, the non-profit Good Grief, Pale Hearse, and the SoGal Foundation to raise funds to provide PPE supplies for death care professionals in the hardest hit areas. Cuban is an investor in Eterneva, and is incredibly supportive of the fundraiser. The video he sent in is part of his efforts to help this coalition raise the necessary funds for N95 masks for death care professionals.
