Batesville Introduces Personalization Through the Family’s Eyes – Bridging Familiar Offerings with New Technologies

BATESVILLE, Ind., October 22, 2019 – Batesville, the leading provider of high-quality products and technology solutions to funeral homes, will showcase a variety of personalization options at the 2019 National Funeral Directors Association (NFDA) Convention and Expo in Chicago, ILL (Oct. 27 – 30). A Gold sponsor of this year’s conference, the company is launching a new custom image medallion and frame that are designed to help families Remember Every Moment.

“We understand that memories are an important – and highly personal – element of the healing process, and funeral directors are in a unique position to nurture and help fulfill that intrinsic need,” said Jenn Parvin, vice president of marketing and technology for Batesville. “We’re combining today’s digital technologies with more traditional solutions to give families choices in how they honor their loved ones.”

Parvin says Batesville has three rules for personalization products. They need to be easy, relevant and affordable. The company has a spectrum of personalization solutions to help tell the life story, from themed obituaries and personalized video tributes to physical elements that can be incorporated into the casket or urn, as well as other memorial items that serve as treasured keepsakes.

“Our primary focus has been to simplify the personalization experience for families and provide easy-to-use tools for funeral directors that don’t require special training or technical expertise,” said Parvin.

The new customizable image medallions allow families to choose their own photos or select from a gallery of stock images to create a cherished memento. Once the image is selected, the funeral director simply prints it out, inserts it into the medallion or frame and it is ready for the family. The entire process can be completed using the company’s Create website in a matter of minutes.

Throughout the week, visitors will have the opportunity to see the personalization process in person (booth #1108), explore a variety of new burial and cremation products or sit in on a 30-minute technology demo featuring the Bridges mobile planning app, new web designs and digital tools that are available with a Batesville website.

Batesville invites funeral professionals to kick off their 2019 NFDA experience and reconnect with friends and colleagues at the Welcome Reception on Sunday, October 27, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Batesville is co-sponsoring the event with Legacy.com and has some special surprises planned.
