Funeral Service Foundation Announces Third Annual Summer Matching Gift Campaign

Messenger, LLC will match gifts dollar-for-dollar made by August 31, up to $10,000

Brookfield, Wis. – The Funeral Service Foundation has launched its third annual summer matching gift campaign in partnership with Messenger, LLC. Now through August 31, Foundation friends and other supporters can double their impact by participating in this special fundraising opportunity, which benefits Fund ’45, the Foundation’s annual fund.

For the third year in a row, Messenger is matching donations dollar-for-dollar up to $10,000 through August. The campaign kicked off in June, and has encouraged funeral service professionals, including those who have benefited from the Foundation’s initiatives, scholarships and continuing education opportunities, to contribute $45 in support of Fund ’45.

“The reason Messenger continues to support the Funeral Service Foundation and Fund ‘45 is simple: Because funerals matter,” said Bob Hoaglund, Messenger’s vice president of sales and marketing. “We want our profession to be the best it can be and ensure we have access to education, programs and initiatives that help us continually improve. This makes all of us better and impacts our communities in a really positive way.”

Donations made to the Foundation through August 31 are eligible for matching, including contributions by mail (Funeral Service Foundation, 13625 Bishop’s Drive, Brookfield, WI 53005) or online.

“We are grateful that Messenger awarded us this opportunity, which underscores their continued support of our vision of an improved end-of-life experience for families and their loved ones,” said Foundation Chair Bob Arrington. “Our funeral service community has an astounding level of commitment to the families we serve, and we are thrilled to see our donors’ contributions generously matched.”
