Foundation Partners Group Adds To Its Washington State Footprint

Curnow Funeral Home & Cremation Service and Hill Funeral Home & Cremation Service Join Foundation Partners Family

Orlando, FL Foundation Partners Group, a leading provider of innovative funeral and cemetery experiences and products, has announced the acquisition of Curnow Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Sumner, WA and Hill Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Puyallup, WA. The purchase now makes Foundation Partners Group the largest privately-owned cremation services provider in the state of Washington with ten locations.

“We are excited to welcome Brian and his team; they are as passionate about serving families as we are,” stated Bob Bukala, Foundation Partners Group President and CEO. “We share the same values and both of our organizations place a tremendous focus on offering innovative products and providing extraordinary service to families who have lost a loved one.”

After more than a decade working for both national and local funeral services providers, Brian Curnow opened Curnow Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Sumner, WA in March 2003.  Since that time, the firm has served more than 12,000 families.  In October 2008, Curnow opened a new, state-of-the-art central preparation facility and later opened arrangement centers in Bellevue, WA and in Graham, WA.  In 2018, Curnow purchased Hill Funeral Home in Puyallup, WA – a funeral home originally opened in 1908.

“It’s important to begin the succession planning process at a time when there is not a sense of urgency,” said Brian Curnow, owner of Curnow Funeral Home and Crematory. “I had initial conversations with Foundation Partners around three years ago and was very impressed with the way they approached the profession. They emphasized the importance of continuing the practices that made us successful and taking care of our employees. Their commitment to my business and the families we serve was very important to me.”

To Brian, his staff and his community are family. The Foundation Partners family welcomes them with open arms.”
