Angel Valley Funeral Home Joins Foundation Partners Group Family
Orlando, FL – Foundation Partners Group, a leading provider of innovative burial, cremation, and cemetery experiences and products, has announced that it has acquired Angel Valley Funeral Home & Old Pueblo Crematory in Tucson, AZ.
“The acquisition of Angel Valley Funeral Home offers a terrific opportunity to build upon our foundation in the Tucson market,” stated Bob Bukala, President and CEO of Foundation Partners Group. “Angel Valley aligns with our vision to expand our network of funeral homes delivering the types of services that the local community is looking for. With the trend of families looking for high quality cremation services, firms like Angel Valley are more important to the local community. Since Mike and Dee Dee Orcutt purchased the business a little over ten years ago, they have consistently delivered superior services at affordable prices while nurturing strong relationships with their local community.”
Mike and Dee Dee Orcutt purchased the business in 2007 and have grown right along with Tucson. Mike has a long history in funeral service having started his career in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho in the early 80’s. When they decided to strike out on their own, Mike and Dee Dee spent several years looking for the right business and found a perfect match with Angel Valley and the Tucson community.
“I had spoken to Foundation Partners several years ago, but we were not quite ready to retire at that point,” stated Mike Orcutt, the co-owner of Angel Valley Funeral Home. “When Dee Dee and I decided it was finally time, we knew we would call Foundation Partners first because they really understood the cremation business.”
When the couple made the decision that it was time to sell, they sought out a partner who would allow them to transition out of the business on their own terms, while providing greater opportunities and stability for their staff.
“As we grew, HR issues and the administration of running the business became very draining for us,” added Orcutt. “Foundation Partners offered us a way to ease that burden along with ensuring our employees would be taken care of going forward. Foundation Partners demonstrated repeatedly that they care not only about our business but our staff and community as well.”
“With this firm, we have found a great partner who shares our vision and passion for being a leading provider of funeral services to familes who experience a loss,” stated Jason Widing, Vice President of Business Development at Foundation Partners. “Angel Valley has enjoyed an outstanding reputation in the Tucson area and consistently delivers the same high standards we strive to achieve every day. We are delighted to welcome the team to the Foundation Partners family.”
