Passare Releases New Check Writing Feature

Passare, Inc. is proud to announce the release of “Check Writing,” a new feature that allows funeral homes to print and manage check payments to vendors for services and cash advance items. This feature will help funeral homes improve efficiency, streamline check writing for multiple locations, and save time for administrative staff.

Passare is the funeral profession’s only collaboration system with integrated case management, offering a best-in-class experience for funeral professionals and the families they serve. Check Writing integrates seamlessly with each case’s goods and services statement. Once cash advances are selected, funeral directors can create checks that are ready to be printed for each service with the click of a button. The funeral home owner or administrative staff who handle checks will then be notified via text, email, and within Passare that checks are ready to be printed and signed.

“We are thrilled to offer our clients this new functionality,” said Jay Thomas, CEO of Passare. “The ability to print checks and make payments to vendors will help our clients save time because it eliminates double entry of data into their accounting software. The Check Writing feature reduces errors because each check is created directly from the case information.”

In addition to writing checks for cash advance items, the Check Writing feature can be used to prepare checks for vendors such as casket suppliers, marketing agencies, and fluid suppliers, for example. “The Check Writing feature is permission-based, so only those employees whose roles are set up to have access will be able to write and print checks,” added Jay. “We’ve had many requests for this feature from our clients, and we are very excited to be able to deliver the industry’s most streamlined check writing option!”
