OGR Annual Conference Offers Solutions to Business Problems in Savannah, Ga April 4-6, 2018

AUSTIN, TX – The International Order of the Golden Rule (OGR), the world’s leading professional association dedicated to serving independent funeral homes, is presenting an all new Solution Center at its 59th Annual Conference & Solution Center in Savannah, GA in April.

“OGR has reshaped its conference to focus on what matters to its members – learning from other funeral professionals who are succeeding in spite of all the change around them and helping them to find solutions to professional challenges they’re facing,” said Mark Allen, Executive Director & CEO for OGR.  “Attendees will experience ‘The Solution Room’, an opening session which provides peer-supported advice for the most pressing problems and gives participants the opportunity to tap into the wealth of knowledge and experience that OGR members possess.”

Participants will be pleasantly surprised by how much more interactive their learning experiences will be compared to traditional lecture formats. Facilitators will present and discuss better ways to connect with families, gain the upper hand when competing with discount cremation providers, explore strategies to attract more business through funeral home websites, and learn presentation skills to share the value of funerals with families. The new Solution Center will feature 15-minute “Solution Talks”, where funeral service professionals will share solutions they have found to challenging business problems.

In addition to education, attendees will enjoy a new format of events planned at the Savannah destination with a Dinner on the Green welcome event and a Taste of Savannah Diner Party. Representatives in OGR’s network of suppliers will be on hand in the Solution Center to share how their unique and valuable products and services can help funeral service professionals become more efficient and increase profitability.
