Funeral Home Owner Daryl R. Berry Wins June Sich Casket Giveaway

July 7, 2017 — Sich Casket has announced the winner of their monthly “Year of the Funeral Director” casket giveaway for June. The winner, Daryl R. Berry is the owner, funeral director and embalmer of Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home in Campbellsville, Kentucky.

Mr. Berry will receive the Sich “Progress” model, their 18-ga steel lilac casket with natural brush finish and Lavender Crepe interior. Delivery will provided by Lake Forest Casket, Lombard, IL, a Sich Casket distributor.

“I have to say, I was intrigued by the Sich ads even though I used to be an anti-import casket guy,” said Berry. “But then as I was reading the ads and what Sich was saying, along seeing casket prices continually going up and American casket companies moving production to Mexico, I came around to thinking that if I’m going to buy a casket made elsewhere at a premium, then I’ll look for other import options and liked what I saw regarding Sich.”

Mr. Berry is the third person to win a Sich casket as part of the “Year of the Funeral Director” monthly giveaway. Previous winners included Todd Schrag of Roper and Sons Funeral Home in Lincoln, Nebraska and Todd Howell of Woodfin Funeral Chapels in Murfreesboro and Smyrna, Tennessee.

Mr. Berry said he was very excited upon hearing the news he had won the June Sich casket giveaway. “I’m very anxious to get the casket and line it up against domestic products to see if I can tell a difference,” he said. “From what the ads say, I won’t, but I’m excited to see.”

Sich president and founder, Sirius Chan, added “We’re thrilled to see more people discover our caskets through this promotion. We’ve had so much interest and participation and this gives us a unique way to show funeral homes how we’re focused on their success.”

The next Sich casket giveaway drawing will be held at the end of July. To learn more about the monthly drawing and to enter, visit sichcasket.com or www.RethinkYourCaskets.com/YearFD. Participants need only enter one time to be registered for all the drawings throughout the balance of the year.
