50 Years Later And Funeral Directors Still Fight The Same Sterotypes

I have never heard of the movie, “The Loved One”…until I read about it on the ‘A Simple, Village Undertaker‘ blog.

The video below was used in a Foundation Partners staff training session, to illustrate some of the stereotypes that people conjure up when they think about going to funeral homes.

It’s sad to say, but it would be my guess that many funeral directors/funeral homes have ‘arrangement scripts’ that aren’t to different from the one in this move clip.

50 years later and the same funeral stereotypes still exist…but those stereotypes won’t change until funeral directors do.

I did a blog post about The Loved One back in December of 2012. It has lots of lessons for consumers, especially about the need to plan ahead.
