Eagle’s Wings Air named a Preferred Provider by Selected Independent Funeral Homes

FORT WAYNE, INDIANA – Eagle’s Wings Air (EWA), the nation’s leading provider of transportation management services to North American funeral homes and shipping services, has been named a Preferred Benefit Provider of Selected Independent Funeral Homes (Selected), offering transportation services and incentives to Selected members.

Selected is an exclusive, invitation-only nonprofit organization representing more than 1,300 independently owned funeral home locations worldwide. Through its Member Benefits Program, the 94-year-old association offers a range of services and benefits for members, including access to and discounts from carefully chosen consultants and vendors.

EWA is one of only 19 companies currently working with Selected as a Preferred Benefit Provider, and was cited by Selected leadership and nominating members for its innovative and trustworthy reputation, proven airline and aviation security expertise, and its advocacy efforts on behalf of the funeral service profession within the airline community.

“We are very excited about the opportunity to serve Selected and its members as a trusted resource,” Frank Kaiser, President and CEO of Eagles’ Wings Air, said. “It’s an honor to have our single-source service model recognized as an innovative new option for Selected members to save time, all while offering client families an even higher level of service, focus and commitment.”

“We are always looking for best-in-breed companies that can serve our members as true partners and excellent service providers,” Rob Paterkiewicz, executive director of Selected, said. “And we certainly believe EWA fits the bill. As experts in the transportation of human remains, including the unique security challenges it entails, Frank and his team are a valuable new resource for our members. We’re proud to welcome them to our program.”

The program from Selected offers a roster of consultants and vendors providing preferred services to its international membership. In addition, Selected members can use the Consultant and Vendor Referral Program to discover, recommend and critique consultants and service providers. The program offers a unique opportunity for Selected members to learn about consultants and vendors fellow members have worked with, as well as to read their comments and recommendations.

“I’ve been a friend and colleague of Dave McComb for many years, as well as a current and very satisfied client of EWA,” John Horan of Horan & McConaty Funeral Home in Denver, CO, and past president of the Selected, said. “As the chairman of EWA, Dave brings a tremendous amount of experience and compassion to the industry, and those traits are reflected in the company’s service and commitment.”
