Entries sought for Funeral Director of the Year and Cemetery Excellence Award

The best in funeral service is being sought as entries are now being accepted for the 2016 Funeral Director of the Year Award and American Cemetery Excellence Award.

Deadline for submissions is August 19, 2016, with the award winners announced in the December issues of American Funeral Director and American Cemetery & Cremation magazines.

American Funeral Director created the Funeral Director of the Year Award and American Cemetery & Cremation magazine created the Cemetery Excellence Award to recognize the unsung heroes who give exceptional family services, have great community support and have become role models for those in funeral service.

The Funeral Director of the Year Award program is open to all funeral professionals who were employed as a licensed funeral director for at least one year and encompasses all funeral director job titles, from embalmer to funeral home manager. The Cemetery Excellence Award is open to all cemeteries. Entries are treated with the strictest of confidence.

Finalists should be prepared to be interviewed. The winner will be featured on the cover of the December issue of American Funeral Director and American Cemetery & Cremation.
