FDLIC Recognized as a 2015 “Best Place to Work for Millennials”

ABILENE, TX – Funeral Directors Life Insurance Company (FDLIC) has been recently recognized as one of the Best Places to Work for Millennials for 2015, a national awards program presented by the acclaimed Center for Generational Kinetics, Best Companies Group, and Barnum Financial Group.

The list, which comes on the heels of news that Millennials are now the largest generation in the U.S. labor force, is the first of its kind to identify companies that excel at recruiting, developing and retaining top millennial performers.

The full list of the Best Places to Work for Millennials and accompanying paper Unlocking Millennial Talent is available at BestPlacesToWorkMillennials.com.

“We are very proud and honored to be named to this list,” said Kris Seale, FDLIC President and CEO. “We believe in training and mentoring promising young leaders to succeed in the workplace, and this recognition is a demonstration of our commitment to seeing young people grow and develop their talents and abilities.”

To find the best places to work for Millennials, The Center for Generational Kinetics partnered with the workplace excellence research firm Best Companies Group, which manages over 50 “Best Places to Work” programs around the globe.

Over 4,000 U.S. companies were analyzed, and FDLIC was one of only 75 companies named to the 2015 Best Places to Work for Millennials list.

“In working with young people, our goal at this company is to teach them what we wish we had known at the age of 25,” added Seale. “We have a lot of knowledge and insight to give, but we also have a lot to learn. We value the contribution of the young leaders who are joining our company. They are giving us new energy and new ideas. They are also forcing us to look at old processes and procedures and to question why we do things the way we do. They have helped streamline our processes, increase our efficiency as a company, and improve the quality of service we provide.”
