Fostering a Global Dialogue: NFDA Hosts 2015 Asia Funeral Expo & Conference

Brookfield, Wis. – The eighth annual National Funeral Directors Association (NFDA) Asia Funeral Expo & Conference (AFE) will take place May 13-14 at the Macau Tower Convention & Entertainment Center in Macau. AFE is an unparalleled opportunity for NFDA members to build meaningful relationships with funeral professionals from around the globe, share ideas, and solve common challenges, which ultimately leads to improved service to the dying, the dead and the bereaved. Last year, more than 2,250 funeral professionals from 30 countries and regions attended the conference.

“Our world is getting smaller, creating a melting pot of families with different customs, traditions and rituals,” said NFDA Senior Vice President of Member Relations Anna Bernfeld, CAE. “Global forums, such as AFE, enable funeral directors around the world to come together and learn from one another, and collaboratively find ways to improve the service they provide to grieving families.”

The more than 30 education sessions will cover topics such as business management, technical skills, green funerals and burials, cemetery management, marketing, customer service, and more.
