NFDA Launches Mobile App for 2015 Advocacy Summit

App will be useful to members beyond the event itself

Brookfield, Wis. – Following the release of its successful 2014 International Convention & Expo smartphone application, the National Funeral Directors Association has launched its Advocacy Summit App, which serves as a comprehensive guide for this annual event and offers a variety of resources to help members connect with federal legislators. The 2015 Advocacy Summit will take place March 3-5 in Washington, D.C.

The free mobile app puts the profession’s premier legislative conference in attendees’ hands. It features:

  • Daily event schedule
  • Speaker biographies
  • NFDA policy positions and talking points
  • Tips for working with legislators
  • Capitol Hill Visit Report forms
  • Legislator listings
  • Maps to event venues and other Washington, D.C., attractions
  • And more

App users can also enable push notifications regarding upcoming Advocacy Summit events, schedule changes, announcements and more.

“Our new Advocacy Summit app is just one of the many great new additions we’ve made to this event,” said NFDA Senior Vice President of Advocacy Lesley Witter, MPA, CAE. “By downloading the app now, attendees can begin preparing for their time in Washington by studying the issues on which they will be advocating and making plans to attend the outstanding continuing education sessions on veterans’ issues and mass-fatality management. After the Advocacy Summit, the app will help all NFDA members stay connected with legislators and urge support of the issues that matter most.”

The NFDA Advocacy Summit mobile application can be downloaded for free from the Apple Store (iPhone and iPad users) or the Google Play Store (Android phone and tablet users); simply search for “NFDA Advocacy.”
