Batesville to Host Education Week: “4 Ways in 4 Days” – Nov. 18 – 21

Free daily webinars designed to help you grow your business

Batesville, the leading provider of comprehensive solutions to the death care industry, announced its first Education Week, an online learning event for funeral professionals. Batesville’s Education Week: 4 Ways in 4 Days is an innovative approach that includes a series of free 30-minute online webinars funeral professionals can participate in from their homes or offices. Batesville product and service experts will cover a different topic each day, offering free advice and actionable insights that can be implemented immediately.

“In an environment that requires funeral directors to be ‘on call’ for families at all times, it can be difficult to get away from the business for education and training,” said Troy Turner, Batesville chief marketing officer. “But even the busiest funeral professionals can carve out 30 minutes or an hour in their day to enhance their skills.”

Education and knowledge development are an important part of Batesville’s culture, and Turner’s goal is to share what the company has learned with as many customers as possible. Batesville held presentations in its booth at NFDA and recently held a continuing education event at its headquarters. Now it is turning to technology to make information available to a broader audience in a way that is both convenient and effective.

Funeral professionals can participate in one Education Week session or all 4 webinars, which include:

Day 1: How to Understand Your Families through Consumer Insights – Tues., Nov. 18 at 2 p.m.

Families bring their own perceptions and expectations about funeral planning, but are often treated the same way. This session will help you recognize the four basic consumer personas and understand what drives their decisions. This will help you erase negative perceptions and create positive funeral experiences that are also more profitable for your business.

Presented by Todd Darland, Director, Batesville Brand Strategy & Merchandising

Day 2: How to Become Profitable with Cremation – Wed., Nov. 19 at 2 p.m.

To close the revenue gap, you’ve got to maximize every preneed and at-need cremation opportunity. Get an in-depth look at what drives decision-making for families who choose cremation. Learn how you can adapt your approach using an easy-to-understand system that will help you overcome the misconceptions families have about cremation products and services and increase revenue by as much as 25%.

Day 3: How to Use Social Media to Positively Impact Your Funeral Home – Thur., Nov. 20 at 2 p.m.

Social media has changed the way families research, share and communicate about their lives, including a loved one’s funeral. Have you joined the conversation? Using social media creates opportunities to connect with families in new ways that don’t have to be time-consuming or complicated. This presentation will provide easy, actionable steps you can take to get started.

Day 4: How to Satisfy Consumer Needs through Innovative Products – – Fri., Nov. 21 at 2 p.m.

Let’s face it. Consumers don’t know much about caskets and other funeral products. They look to you for guidance to help them understand their choices, especially personalization. You’ll learn how today’s consumers feel about casket personalization, why they personalize and how it creates value for them. We’ll share insights from research to help you decide what types of offerings to present and how to educate families.

Presented by Todd Tekulve, Product Manager, Batesville Burial Solutions

The topics for Education Week were based on input from the Batesville Insights Council, an online customer panel that actively engages in research and shares information on industry trends, challenges and new products and services.

All Education Week sessions will start at 2 p.m. EST. Presentations are scheduled for 30 minutes, with a question and answer period following each session. To register, go to www.Batesville.com/4Ways4Days.
