Brookfield, Wis. – Nashville, Tenn.: home to Music Row; The Grand Old Opry; The Hermitage, President Andrew Jackson’s Home; and the 2014 National Funeral Directors Association (NFDA) International Convention & Expo. Taking place October 12-15, the NFDA Convention will offer the funeral service professionals unprecedented opportunities for learning, networking, and discovering new products and services.

Nashville was one of only nine U.S. cities named among the New York Times’ top 52 places to visit in the world. Nashville was recently named as one of the top 10 convention cities in the United States by the 10Best.com, a division of USA Today. NFDA’s Convention will take place in the Music City Center, which opened in September 2013, and is located in the heart of downtown Nashville close to hotels with NFDA room blocks, restaurants and the city’s famed honky tonks.

NFDA has invited leading experts, including Michael Schoedinger, William McReavy, Brad Speaks, William McQueen, James Spellos and Robert G. Mayer, to lead workshops at the 2014 convention. The lineup of engaging workshops will offer proven solutions to help funeral directors manage challenges, better serve families and grow their businesses. Workshops will address technical skills, business management, cremation, profitability, marketing and social media, and community relations.

The NFDA Convention also features the world’s largest funeral expo. Attendees will have an opportunity to meet with vendor partners whose products and services will help them save time and money, and help families honor their loved ones in personal and meaningful ways. Many exhibitors plan to unveil brand new products and services during the NFDA Convention.

The NFDA Convention attracts more funeral professionals than any other gathering in the world – a network of experts with whom attendees can exchange ideas and have fun. NFDA’s exclusive social and networking opportunities will include the Welcome Party at the legendary Wildhorse Saloon, exciting tours of Nashville and the Funeral Directors Under 40 Party at Tequila Cowboy. A special closing party, A Hall of Fame Evening: Celebrate with the Stars, will take place at the renowned Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum.

The latest information about the 2014 NFDA Convention workshops, expo, and social and networking events can be found by visiting www.nfda.org/nashville2014.
