KTMBA Group Visits Fewell Plant And Monument As Part Of Conference

SCOTTSBURG, IND. The Kentucky Tennessee Monument Builders Association (KTMBA) recently held its annual conference in Louisville, Kentucky. As part of the conference, more than 75 individuals, predominately monument dealers and their spouses, traveled to Scottsburg, Indiana, on October 27 to tour the Fewell Monuments plant as well as see the Scottsburg Veterans Memorial produced by Fewell.

The monument, commissioned by the Scott County Veterans of Foreign War,
memorializes local veterans as far back as the Revolutionary War. It was designed by Terry Fewell and created by artists of Fewell Monuments. Local bronze sculptor David Lind created the bronze eagle. Spanning 33 feet in length (at its etched center die and bases) and 11 feet of overall height, the monument includes 70,000 pounds of lettered and laser etched tablets with veterans’ names, donor recognition markers and benches. It was set in November, 2006.
