Aurora Casket Company Sold, Announcement Expected Today
Aurora Casket Company is expected to announce later today that they have been sold to private equity firm KKR (unoffically confirmed).
We were emailed this weekend by multiple funeral professionals asking about a rumored sale. We sent out an email to multiple contacts at Aurora Casket Company as well as sending a few messages out to the Twitterverse.
We received an email message unsigned saying:
“Watch out for the announcement coming Monday from Aurora Casket Company saying they have been sold to private equity firm KKR”.
We did receive an official email from a Aurora Casket Company representative in response to our email asking if the rumor that the company had been sold was true. The response read:
“We will have an important announcement sent to you on Tuesday. It is a great announcement for Aurora and our customers. More info coming very soon. I must wait til Tuesday to get you the news.”
We asked to schedule an interview for today or Tuesday but so far we have not received a response. As soon as we have more information we will share it with you.
How do you think this would change the way Aurora Casket currently serves funeral professionals?
