Funeral Director Live Blogs His Battle With Cancer

imageA few months ago I posted an article about Bruce Conley, a Chicago funeral director who was fighting a battle with cancer but wasn’t letting his illness stand in the way of his love for serving others. Yesterday I was emailed a link to a live journal that is being updated by Bruce to allow friends, family, and others to follow every step of his horrible battle with inoperable cancer.

I have read through many of the posts Bruce has made to his blog and I am inspired by how upbeat and positive Bruce has stayed throughout his journey.

Excerpt from a post made April 14th:

The Chemo-Pull is over and together, we did it! As I begin my first week without chemo, we also decided not to wait for mid-May and a visit to Mayo to get regularly scheduled CT scan. The doctors had felt something under my ribs in recent visits and I too was feeling different, so we decided to have a look sooner instead of later. What happened on my birthday, ironically revealed all I needed to know about that scan and loosed in me the permission I had been waiting for.

I encourage you to visit Bruce’s blog and follow him through his journey. Let yourself be inspired by his amazing positivity and encouragement.

You will also find on the site many different charitable opportunities Bruce has made available as he continues to serve others throughout his horrific treatment.
