Aurora Sponsors Cremation Strategies Conference

Funeral Service Event Focused on Improving Education and Operations

November 6, 2012 – AURORA, Indiana – With more than one million annual cremations now taking place in North America, funeral service professionals are seeking new ways to align their offerings to the changing preferences of funeral consumers. Aurora Casket Company, the largest privately-owned supplier in funeral service, will be presenting new ideas for funeral professionals at this week’s Cremation Strategies Conference, presented by Kates-Boylston.

“The rise in cremation has created new opportunities for funeral professionals to serve families,” said Lacy Robinson, senior professional development trainer at Aurora. “Our goal is to provide resources and tools that help funeral directors educate families about the choices that families have when their preference is cremation.”

Aurora’s Journey Cremation System helps hundreds of funeral homes better inform families about the variety of choices available for cremation. The system includes free customized arrangement guides in print or tablet presentation format. Additionally, Aurora conducts training for hundreds of funeral professionals on how to help cremation families create an appropriate and meaningful goodbye.

The second annual Cremation Strategies Conference takes place on November 7 in Charleston, South Carolina. The program is designed to help funeral practitioners create a strategic plan to improve family satisfaction and capitalize on this trend.
