A Nightmare Service…That A Funeral Director Makes Right – Video

imageZanesville, Ohio, where ConnectingDirectors.com is located has received over 30 inches of snow in the past few weeks making graveside services a nightmare. As many of you know, besides running ConnectingDirectors.com, I work for my family’s burial vault company (primarily in Sales, but when needed I help out on services).

With all of the crazy weather that we have had many services have been canceled and moved to different days.

One day last week the vault plant was very busy. Everyone but me and one other guy were out on services. We received a call from one of our drivers who could not get the vault to fit into the grave because the hole was not big enough. Sounds like an easy problem to fix, but the reason the hole was to small was because there were huge foundations and headstones on both ends of the grave that wouldn’t allow the cemetery men to dig the hole any longer.

There is a great story that goes along with this situation, and some pretty cool pictures!! Watch the video below as I explain how the situation was solved and the family went from devastated at the begin, to over joyed at the end.

Below are some pictures I was able to take as the cemetery men tried to move the headstone and foundation at one end of the grave.

I am sure many of you have had similar situations. We would love to hear your story and how you surpassed the expectations of the family you were serving. Please leave it in the comments!!
