Top funeral homes, performers honored at Precoa Celebration Event

The nation’s leading funeral homes and Advance Funeral Planners from across the country have been honored by Precoa for their performance over the past year.

With the highest concentration of Million Dollar Producers in the funeral profession, Precoa honored more than 160 AFPs, including several three-million-dollar producers and even one six-million-dollar producer. Brian Whittecar, Precoa vice president of sales, says the success of the company’s AFPs and funeral home partners is a result of partnering with the nation’s leading funeral homes and growing their market with ProActive Preneed® so they can prearrange more families.

“Connection is a core value at Precoa, and each of these individuals is among the most talented at connecting with families and creating meaningful experiences that make a lasting impact,” Whittecar said. “All of us at Precoa are incredibly grateful for the work they do on behalf of our partners to help a growing number of families put an intentional plan in place.”

Texas-based Callaway-Jones Funeral Home and Cremation Center was named a Precoa Distinguished Partner. Callaway-Jones partnered with Precoa in 2017, and in 2023 had its best preneed sales year ever – more than 5X its preneed sales since partnering with Precoa.

Ohio’s Snyder Funeral Homes was honored as a Precoa Distinguished Partner. Owned and operated by the same family for more than a century, Snyder has helped prearrange more than 6,500 families since partnering with Precoa in 2016. And in 2023, they celebrated their best sales year ever.

Sales Leader of the Year Pam Tsatsos has worked in the funeral profession for more than 30 years. Consistently described as “a true team player” in her role as sales manager at Vertin, Pam works tirelessly to provide a comprehensive support system for her team. She is actively invested in the success of Vertin’s Advance Funeral Planners and her support led to Vertin’s best preneed sales year ever in 2023.

Precoa also honored Terry Schertzer, Senior Director of Partnership Development, with a Lifetime Achievement Award. One of Precoa’s first employees, Schertzer has built relationships with funeral homes across the United States for nearly 20 years. Since 2005, Terry has been a key part of Precoa’s growth, bringing hundreds of funeral homes to ProActive Preneed® and training thousands of Advance Funeral Planners.

Kyle Aler, a Precoa regional director, earned the Field Manager of the Year award. In 2023, he grew sales by an average of 133 percent for the funeral home partners he works with. Kyle also leads Precoa’s Advertised Community Education Program and has more than doubled annual sales through the program in the last three years.

Precoa Regional Director Dane Galvin earned the Field Manager of the Year award for 2023. Last year, Dane grew sales by 123 percent in one of Precoa’s largest sales regions. His region also led the company in Advertised Community Education Program sales.
