Gift Match Challenge Issued by National Guardian Life Insurance Company Helps Trust Raise More Than $24,000
LINCOLNSHIRE, IL — November 6, 2023 — Thanks to a generous donation match challenge issued by National Guardian Life Insurance Company (NGL), the Selected Educational Trust raised $14,400 in donations from Selected member firms, individuals, and supporting organizations between September 1 and October 15, 2023. Combined with NGL’s pledge to match donations dollar for dollar up to $10,000, these gifts brought the donation total to $24,400!
“We are thrilled with the outstanding support from everyone who took advantage of NGL’s donation match challenge,” said Jennifer Kaset, Vice President, Sales and Business Development at NGL. “As a leader in Preneed insurance, NGL understands the value in supporting funeral home professionals through scholarships and ongoing educational opportunities provided by the Selected Educational Trust.”
“We are deeply grateful to NGL for demonstrating their confidence in the mission of the Trust and making this outcome a reality,” said Stefanie Favia, Senior Director of Development at the Trust. “People support an organization because they believe in its mission and want to make a difference. When a donor can literally double their financial impact, the power of giving is truly realized.”
The money raised during this challenge will be implemented to enable the Trust to continue its important work of connecting independent funeral homes with the next generation of the profession, and to provide scholarships and progressive skill development training for funeral service professionals at all stages of their career.
