Rollings Funeral Service Announces Acquisition of Montana Funeral Homes

TYRONE, GA — Rollings Funeral Service is proud to announce their newest acquisitions of Schnider Funeral Home and O’Connor Funeral Home & Crematory, both of Great Falls, Montana. The funeral homes were formerly owned by husband and wife, Steve and Carla Schnider. The couple founded Schnider Funeral Home in 2001 and then purchased O’Connor Funeral Home & Crematory in 2010, forming the Schnider Family Funeral Homes.

Greg Rollings, president & CEO of Rollings Funeral Service, commented “Like Debbie and myself, Steve and Carla are a husband and wife team that have a passion for serving others. For the past 20 years, Steve and Carla have worked hard to build a reputation of compassion, respect, and trust and I look forward to helping them continue their legacy for years to come.” Rollings also added that this marks his first acquisition in Montana.

Speaking with Steve and Carla Schnider, they mentioned that they wanted to start looking towards slowing down and with none of their children in funeral service, they wanted to find someone who had the same passion for serving families as they did. When asked why they decided to sell their firms to Rollings Funeral Service, Steve said “…because Greg made it easy. Anything we wanted to maintain, he was willing to address it and his care for all our employees was huge too.” They also mentioned that Greg and Debbie Rollings being a private husband and wife team was another big reason they joined Rollings Funeral Service. “They’re not a big corporation and Greg was very accessible. You talk to him and you get an answer. We’re excited to still be involved and seeing how we’ll be able to streamline our processes to better serve,” said Carla.

Annually, the two funeral homes serve about 750 families combined.
