Funeral Service Foundation Announces $50,000 Major Gift from Argent Trust Company
Brookfield, Wis. – Today, the Funeral Service Foundation announced a $50,000 major gift pledge from Argent Trust Company in support of the Foundation’s mission of investing in people and programs to strengthen funeral service and lift up grieving communities.
“Authenticity and integrity are at the heart of everything we do at Argent, and the Funeral Service Foundation serves as a beacon of authenticity and integrity within funeral service,” said Mark Milton, director of institutional sales for Argent Trust Company and Foundation trustee emeritus. “Our idea of making a lasting impact was set in motion when we supported last year’s annual Golf Classic. We saw folks from across the profession come together in support of Foundation’s important work. Argent is honored that our contribution will support the Foundation’s commitment to helping funeral professionals be and do their best.”
This gift comes during a challenging year for funeral service, as funeral service professionals work to safely and compassionately serve families and communities. Gifts to the Foundation support academic and professional development scholarships and opportunities, help create community-building and professional grief resources, and fund grants to mission-aligned non-profit organizations.
“The Funeral Service Foundation has proudly served the profession for 75 years, and Argent’s gift allows us to grow and meet the challenges facing funeral service professionals today,” said Lee Wiensch, CFRE, executive director of the Funeral Service Foundation. “Argent is supporting the heart of what we do, and we’re grateful for their generous gift.”
