FAMIC Announces 2020’s Board of Directors’ Officers

Brookfield, WI – The Funeral and Memorial Information Council (FAMIC), a leading provider of memorialization information and education has announced this year’s board of directors’ officers, including two incumbents and twonew members.

Liberty Bankers Insurance Group

Representing:  Life Insurers Council

Treasurer – Robert Nunnaley, President – Fry & Prickett Funeral Home, Inc., Carthage, NC, Representing:  Selected Independent Funeral Homes

President-Elect – Dr. Hari Close, II, CFSP, COCP – HARI P. CLOSE FUNERAL SERVICE,P.A., Baltimore, Maryland   

Representing:  National Funeral Directors & Morticians

President – Jim Wiens, President & CEO of Doric, Inc.

Representing:  National Concrete Burial Vault Association

All officers serve a one-year term and move up in position, based on an annual Board vote.

Since 1991, FAMIC has been committed to making available to the public direct and open information regarding deathcare and memorialization from the leading associations of service providers and businesses. FAMIC is the founder of the Have the Talk of a Lifetime program, a consumer education outreach effort to urge families to talk with loved ones about life, the things that matter most and how they want to be remembered when they die.  The program was introduced in 2013. 

FAMIC association members include: International Memorialization Supply Association; International Order of the Golden Rule; Life Insurers Council; Monument Builders of North America; National Concrete Burial Vault Association; National Funeral Directors & Morticians Association; National Funeral Directors Association; and Selected Independent Funeral Homes.
