Selected Educational Trust Offers First-Time Donors Matching Gift Opportunity up to $10,000!

DEERFIELD, ILL. — Selected Independent Funeral Homes Educational Trust (the “Trust”) has received a Matching Gift Grant from Physicians Mutual who will match dollarfor-dollar all new gifts made to the Trust during the month of December up to $10,000.00.

“This is a terrific opportunity for the Trust,” said Bea Pedersen, Director of Development at the Trust. “It is a great incentive for individuals and firms who have not yet made a donation to the Trust either this or the prior year to really make their gift count!”

Donations to the Trust help support the best educational opportunities for the advancement and support of all who work within and for the independent funeral service profession.

“The Trust funds scholarship research, workforce development and educational opportunities which provide lifelong learning for independent death care practitioners,” said Ms. Pedersen. “This matching gift opportunity allows first-time donors to the Trust to double the impact their gift will have on advancing this profession because each gift will, in fact, be doubled. Now that’s a smart investment! Physicians Mutual has been a supporter of Trust programs for several years now, and we are deeply grateful to them for making this opportunity possible.”
