So Where Did the Money Go?

There are a thousand questions that haven’t been answered surrounding the Funeral Divas Inc fraud debacle that abruptly ended their first Innovation Seminar after the first day last week in Chicago. Though this happened last week the story really went viral lastnight when we posted the first profession wide article. Since that time we have received a number of pieces of information including two narratives of the situation and what lead to the arrest of Divas founder Muneerah Warner.

Recap #1 provided by Monica Gray, now resigned Funeral Divas board member.

Recap #2 is an official statement from Divas founder Muneerah Warner

The question that everyone wants the answer to and that Ms. Warner didn’t address in her statement is: What happened to the thousands of dollars paid by attendees and corporate sponsors?

We ask Ms. Warner this question. Below is her response:

We asked: Would it be possible for you to provide a comment about where the money went? The sponsors and attendees all paid a fee. The question we are being asked is “Where did the money go?”

Response from Divas founder Muneerah Warner:

Hi Ryan,

The money was not due until the day after the conference. The detainment happened on Wednesday the money was due on Friday. The question should be why wasn’t I given a chance to pay.

I can’t answer anymore than I already have. I have 1000 questions that also need to be answered.

It was also reported today that 2 board members have resigned: Monica Gray and Samantha Vang, who resigned completely from Funeral Divas. She is no longer a member, board member or Membership Director.
