Suck Up Your Dead! New “Urn-a-Matic” Vacuum Cleaner

imageThis unlikely urn was originally part of an art exhibit (and was sold for $1,900). It was recently featured in an L.A. Times article about futuristic, funky and totally tacky urns.

Urns have obviously gone the way of the weird. Some of the best include a cigar box with a hidden ash compartment and a bubble gum machine where you really don’t want to exchange any coins for its contents.

The “Urn-a-matic” was designed by Darin Montgomery from an old vacuum cleaner.

Unfortunately the vacuum no longer works, so the receptacle doesn’t come with a convenient way to suck up the ashes if you accidentally spill its contents.
