Kid Draws The Most Hilarious Funeral Home Ad Ever and It’s Going Viral

Funeral home advertising: maybe not the best art project for children.

According to Redditor joshuar9476, Gilliland and Howe Funeral Home in Greensburg, Indiana asked kids to design their very own ads for the business. Why? We are not sure.

The results, which involve a reanimated corpse singing the business’s praises while an onlooker wonders why it is alive, are equal parts hilarious and macabre.

Several typically skeptical Redditors have expressed disbelief that the image was actually drawn by a kid. After all, what town would let children advertise for a funeral home?

But another Redditor, Lindthom, said that it isn’t actually all that surprising.

“The newspapers here run these big pull outs of ads drawn by kids every year. There are a bunch of businesses that do it — restaurants, shoe stores, the schools themselves and, yes, funeral homes,” she wrote.

“Welcome to southeastern Indiana,” she added.

Kid-sketched or not, any ad featuring a reanimated corpse deserves some kind of recognition — even if it’s just a gasp of horror.
