Passare has launched a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server designed to help technology partners, vendors, and developers securely connect AI tools and custom applications to its funeral home management software.

Built on Passare’s public API, the MCP server simplifies integration with AI tools such as ChatGPT and Claude.

Streamlining AI Integration and Data Access

MCP functions as an open standard that enables AI assistants and third-party software to interface with external systems through a single framework, eliminating the need to write custom code for individual AI applications.

Through the MCP server, connected applications can retrieve operational data directly from Passare, including case, event, contract, and payment information. This standard connection reduces development time for integration partners building on the Passare platform.

“AI tools are only as helpful as the information they can access,” said Kyle Swearingen, Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer at Passare. “Our MCP server gives AI assistants and partner applications a standard, secure way to work with Passare data. Our partners spend less time on custom connection work and more time building tools that make funeral professionals’ lives easier. And we’re proud to be the first software company in the funeral profession to make this MCP server a reality.”

Data Security and Partner Access

The MCP server maintains existing security protocols to protect sensitive user data while allowing third-party tools to interact with the system.

“Funeral homes trust us with some of the most sensitive information a family will ever share, so security was never optional,” added Swearingen. “With the MCP server, we’re opening the door to more innovation across our partner ecosystem while keeping customer data protected.”

Developers and partners interested in connecting to the platform can read more in this article. To evaluate Passare’s full software suite, get a demo.
