CemSites, a Messenger Family Company that provides cloud-based cemetery management software, announced a series of platform updates today. The enhancements include ArcGIS mapping integration, a new Document Builder module, expanded CemSign electronic signature options, and an updated user interface and user experience (UI/UX).
ArcGIS Mapping Integration
The new ArcGIS integration links cemetery mapping with administrative data. Cemeteries can keep ArcGIS as their primary mapping system while synchronizing details with CemSites. Two-way data synchronization updates burial information, lot statuses, and records across both platforms. Additionally, cemetery staff can view ArcGIS polygon layers directly inside CemSites to see property layouts and records together.
Document Builder Module
The Document Builder module allows users to build and save custom templates directly within CemSites or upload existing PDF forms. Users can insert data placeholders into fields, allowing CemSites to populate documents automatically using existing records. This reduces manual data entry and standardizes administrative paperwork.
CemSign Electronic Signature Enhancements
Updates to CemSign expand how users handle electronic agreements. Users can email individual documents for signature, including files generated outside of CemSites, or send multiple documents at once through an automated workflow. Recipients can sign remotely from any device. CemSites automatically tracks signature notifications and stores finalized documents for recordkeeping.
Refreshed Interface and User Experience
The platform features an updated interface following the brand redesign CemSites announced last month. The updated design simplifies visual layout and navigation to make daily tasks faster and support future software updates.
Executive Commentary
“These enhancements reflect our commitment to developing technology that works the way deathcare professionals do,” said Doug Sesar, chief technology officer. “By improving how our platform connects data, simplifies documentation, and supports everyday workflows, we’re helping our customers work more efficiently while continuing to invest in the technology and user experience they rely on.”
Product Strategy
These updates expand the core functionality of the CemSites platform across mapping, document management, electronic signatures, and platform navigation. The changes aim to help cemeteries, funeral homes, and crematories manage daily operations with greater operational consistency.
