Danielle Burmeister Presents Preneed Motivators: Cremation Edition at the 2025 CANA Symposium

WHEELING, IL— What makes a person take that step to prearrange their cremation? What role do demographics – age, marital status, religious affiliation, etc. – predict about their experience? Danielle Burmeister heads to the Cremation Association of North America’s 2025 Cremation Symposium to break down what motivates someone to prearrange. Join us in Las Vegas this February 26-28 and learn how you can connect with this market and grow your business.

You know deciding to prearrange is not as easy as it sounds. That meeting across the arrangement conference table (real or virtual) is the culmination of a consumer journey shaped by who they are, their experience, and many other forces. In Preneed Motivators: Cremation Edition, Danielle, Vice President of Marketing and Communications for Homesteaders Life Company, will walk you through the consideration process and discuss what happens during and after a prearrangement experience. She will offer insights to help funeral professionals better serve their communities, foster stronger relationships with current families and attract new clients.

“Having clear, actionable data has never been more important to the funeral profession,” said Danielle. “As consumer preferences and behaviors become increasingly complex, understanding underlying motivations provides a roadmap for building a successful preneed program and a suite of tools that meet the unique needs of preneed consumers.” Throughout her session, you’ll learn practical data-based suggestions for strengthening relationships with current client families, connecting with new families and leveraging tools to grow your business.

Find success at every step of your business journey with guidance from experts throughout the Symposium:

  • Kicking off the event is Greg Grabowski, Partner at Hospice Advisors, who explores how funeral professionals can work toward Bridging Hospice and Funeral Services: A Compassionate Continuum of Care, fostering a seamless transition for families as they navigate end-of-life. Each registrant will receive a free copy of his book Engaging the Heart of Hospice, co-authored with Lacy Robinson.
  • A panel of experts share actionable insights for Cremation Preneed Success: Strategies, Insights, and Innovation in Sales and Marketing. Discover how to communicate the value of pre-planning with Tyler Anderson, VP, Business Development at Precoa; William Bonacorda, President of Trust 100; Rob Goff, Regional Director, PreNeed Northwest, for United Heritage Life Insurance; and, Joshua Rae, CEO of Golden Considerations.
  • Aftercare industry leaders continue the discussion on enhancing your relationship with families while driving business growth in an Aftercare Panel: Supporting Families and Growing Your Business. Greg Grabowski of Hospice Advisors; Jon Lefrandt, Founder and CEO of Elevia; and, Matthew Van Drimmelen, Founder of Full-Circle Aftercare offer practical strategies for crafting a successful aftercare program.
  • Lindsey Ballard, Owner of Ballard-Sunder Funeral & Cremation, leads an interactive session to showcase attendees’ most effective strategies in Preneed Spotlight: Lessons and Ideas from Real-Life Success Stories.
  • Whether you’re just starting with digital marketing or looking to refine your approach, Welton Hong, CEO & Founder of Ring Ring Marketing, provides practical insights to grow your preneed business in Leveraging Technology to Grow Your Preneed Program.
  • Wendy Russell Wiener, Managing Member of WRW Legal, PLLC, and Bill Williams, former President/CEO of Funeral Services, Inc., wrap the event with The Great Debate: Trust vs Insurance with the tools you need to determine, or confirm, which is right for your business.

Position your firm to meet the evolving needs of client families with Danielle Burmeister and discover key information about what motivates them to prearrange. Head to the Paris Las Vegas Hotel and Casino this February 26-28 for CANA’s 2025 Cremation Symposium. Register to attend at cremationassociation.org/success.
