In the past, ASD utilized high-speed modems to send text messages to clients. However, this system is being phased out due to speed limitations and restrictions imposed by cellular carriers. ASD anticipates this new solution will make communication between ASD and funeral directors more seamless. ASD clients already receive push notifications from the ASD Mobile app at the fastest rate available. The company’s new text message solution ensures the same high speed of delivery for text messages. Depending upon their cellular carrier, this enhancement also ensures clients will now see text messages from ASD as a single message rather than receiving multiple texts.
All outgoing text messages from ASD will now come from a single 5-digit short code. This makes it simpler for directors to keep messages organized and to recognize incoming texts from ASD. Clients must simply opt-in to the new Enterprise Text Message System by responding to an invitation from ASD.
