Maryland ROCKS | FFFW #107
Welcome to October! Along with having some spooky time fun, this is the time of year when we kick off our countdown to Christmas. So, check in every Friday to see how many more Fridays there are until Christmas.
I know, I know, “We haven’t even had Halloween or Thanksgiving! What are you doing?” Well, first of all, I don’t like those holidays as much as Christmas. But also, this is just a countdown to Christmas. It’s not like I’m going overboard and making everything super Christmas-y before the proper time. So, get over it.

THREE FUN FACTS ABOUT MARYLAND
This was NFDA week in Baltimore. While some people were busy meeting their colleagues and checking out new vendors. I was learning new things about the states. So, as awesome as NFDA 2022 was, I want to focus on three fun facts about a state that isn’t known for being the most exciting.
So, here we go!
- Hey, did you know the first post office system was inaugurated in Maryland in 1774? Pretty cool, right? (Here’s my source)
- Did you know the Maryland state monster is called the Snallygaster? Pretty cool, right? (Here’s my source)
- Did you know in 2021 the two most popular names for babies in Maryland were Liam and Olivia? Pretty cool, right? (Here’s my source)
So yeah, use these lines to impress your friends when they ask how your time was in Maryland. Pretty cool, right?
