Online Bachelor’s Degree In Funeral Service Management Now Offered At Mid-america College Of Funeral Service

JEFFERSONVILLE, IN, December 15, 2016 – Mid-America College of Funeral Service, Jeffersonville, Indiana, announces the premiere of a Bachelor of Science in Funeral Service Management, offered entirely online.

Designed to provide a higher level funeral service education, the Bachelor of Science in Funeral Service Management curriculum emphasizes conceptual, analytical, technical, and management skills focused explicitly on funeral service.  The program provides students with a strong educational foundation preparing them as funeral service management professionals.

Accredited by the American Board of Funeral Service Education (ABFSE), this degree is structured as an online program to accommodate the diverse work or personal schedules of students.

“Some students may already be working in the funeral service profession which of course is prone to unconventional hours,” remarked Jill Karn, Chief Operating Officer of Pierce Mortuary Colleges. “Being able to complete this bachelor’s degree online, at hours most convenient to each individual, is a tremendous benefit.”

The online aspect also accommodates students wherever they are located, providing they have an Associate Degree in Funeral Service from an ABSFE accredited college and have either passed both sections of the National Board Examination (NBE), or is a licensed Funeral Director/Embalmer in their state.

There are a total of nine core funeral service management courses within the bachelor’s program, ranging from Preneed Sales to Hospitality and Event Planning for Funeral Service.

“We are excited to offer this excellent program that provides graduates with a solid path towards career success as funeral service professional and manager,” Jill Karn added.
