Foundation Partners Group Promotes Erin Whitaker

Joins Justin Baxley on Business Development Team to Actively Target New Acquisitions

Orlando, FL – Foundation Partners Group (FPG), a leading provider of innovative funeral, cemetery and cremation experiences and products, has announced that Erin Whitaker has been promoted to Vice President of Business Development.  In her position, Whitaker will seek out funeral home owners who may be interested in learning more about FPG and why the group is an attractive option for business succession.

“Our focus on innovation and our vision ‘To Capture, Acknowledge, and Share Life’s Purpose’ is resonating with funeral home and cemetery owners.  Firms are seeking us out as an alternative to the typical acquisition options,” commented Brad Rex, FPG President and CEO.   “Erin has been a critical resource in the integration of our five most recent acquisitions into the FPG family and with this promotion, she will take on a more prominent role in our business development efforts.”

Whitaker joined the FPG team a year ago as the Senior Director of Operations Integration.  As a third generation funeral director, Whitaker brings a diverse and comprehensive background to her new role at FPG.  She also is well known in the funeral profession, serving as a board member for the Cremation Association of North America (CANA).

“Erin’s credibility as a funeral director, business consultant, and leader in and outside of the profession will be a comfort to those considering a transition for their funeral or cemetery business,” stated Justin Baxley, Senior Vice President of Business Development. “I couldn’t be more pleased to have someone of her caliber joining our business development team.”

Whitaker has a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Georgia Tech University as well as a MBA in international business from the University of South Carolina.  Whitaker is certified as a Black Belt in Six Sigma methodology and has achieved the designation of Certified Funeral Service Practitioner and Certified Preplanning Consultant.

“Two things I have learned during my career in funeral service are that every business is unique and every owner envisions their succession plan differently.  Having worked extensively during the transition of several new firms to the FPG team this year, I can say that FPG understands and values these distinct differences,” stated Whitaker.  “I look forward to sharing with colleagues and business owners considering their next steps, the value and options of the FPG solution.”
