Homesteaders’ Financial Strength Rating Affirmed
Des Moines, Iowa — A.M. Best Company, a global rating agency focused on the insurance industry, announced that it has affirmed Homesteaders Life Company’s financial strength rating of A- (Excellent).
“We take very seriously the long-term promises we make to our customers and policy owners every day, and our financial management philosophy is rooted in ensuring we honor those promises,” said Homesteaders’ CFO Steve Pick. “We are proud that A.M. Best Company has affirmed our A- (Excellent) rating, which for us represents a significant vote of confidence in our financial management philosophy.”
Pick added that Homesteaders’ conservative fiscal management allows the company to maintain stability and growth through challenging investment environments. 2013 saw continued growth in assets, surplus and financial strength.
“Homesteaders is committed to the long-term security of our policy owners, customers and employees,” said Homesteaders’ President-CEO Steve Lang. “We are in business to pay claims, and this type of recognition helps to provide confidence for everyone who depends on us to keep our promises.”
