Tributes.com® Launches Mobile Platform for Funeral Homes
Funeral Home-Branded Obituaries Made Easily Accessible on Smartphones via Interactive Mobile Interface
BOSTON, MA – May 30, 2012 – Following the Company’s recent launch of their Facebook application for funeral homes, Tributes.com, the online resource for local and national obituary news, today announced the release of a new mobile version of their obituary platform for funeral homes. Tributes-powered obituaries, when accessed via a mobile browser, are now presented in a design highly optimized for smartphones. Smartphone users that attempt to access Tributes-powered obituary sections on the funeral home website will be automatically presented with the mobile interface. No changes are required to the funeral home website in order to take advantage of this new technology. Partners that leverage Tributes’ distribution but not their hosting capabilities can also take advantage of the mobile interface by promoting a custom URL provided by Tributes on their website.
Tributes’ mobile design takes advantage of the latest smartphone technology, allowing direct dialing to the funeral home partner’s phone number, and providing access to on-line maps and navigation tools to guide users to any funeral service location.
According to online and mobile data research company comScore, during the three month period ending January 2012, over 100 million U.S. mobile subscribers (101.3 million to be exact) were using smartphones, representing a sizeable percentage of the 234 million Americans age 13 and older used mobile devices in general.

Similar to the funeral home implementation, if a consumer accesses the Tributes.comwebsite from a mobile browser, they will automatically be presented with the Tributes.com mobile version with a refined set of the most popular site features in a format optimized for the smartphone user experience.
