Educational Foundation Sponsors ICCFA University Speakers

STERLING, VA (June 26, 2018) – The International Cemetery, Cremation and Funeral Association (ICCFA) is pleased to announce the ICCFA Educational Foundation as a sponsor of the 2018 ICCFA University (ICCFAU). The Educational Foundation has also presented 31 scholarships that have made it possible for ICCFA members to attend the 2018 ICCFAU, and continue to broaden their understanding of the different aspects of the deathcare professional. The Educational Foundation’s generous sponsorship makes it possible for Dr. Robert Taylor, associate professor of management for the Fogelman College of Business and Economics at the University of Memphis and Tim Flohr, lab integration specialist and instructor at the University of Memphis’ Kemmons Wilson School for Hospitality and Resort Management, to present at the upcoming “U”.

Dr. Robert Taylor will be presenting his talks “Dynamics of the Organization”, “Best Practices in Internal Communications” and “Employee Engagement, Motivation, Hiring and Firing” for the ICCFAU’s College of Leadership, Administration and Management. Dr. Taylor teaches in the Executive MBA, International MBA and PhD programs at the University of Memphis. He graduated with a BA in behavioral science from Rollins College in Florida and went on to Louisiana State University to complete his doctorate in industrial/ organizational psychology with a minor in management. He consults and trains extensively in the areas of management development, assessment centers, training needs analysis, employee theft, employee selection and appraisal, team building and motivation.

Tim Flohr is presenting in the inaugural year of ICCFAU’s College of Hospitality and Event Management with a talk titled “Understanding Financial Statements and Budgeting”. Tim received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Delaware’s Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Management Program in 1997 and he received his MBA, with a concentration in business analytics, from Drexel University in 2015. He has over 25 years of leadership experience in the food and beverage industry throughout the Mid-Atlantic Region and New York City. In his role as lab integration specialist and instructor, Tim oversees the Internship Program and teaches graduate-level courses in Advanced Strategic Management at the University of Memphis.
