Tributes.com and Terradise Announce Partnership to Provide Increased Obituary Distribution and Enhanced Obituary Products to TerraPro and Votive Funeral Home Clients

INNOVATION DISTRICT, BOSTON, MA – April 16, 2012. Tributes.com, the online resource for local and national obituary news and the funeral profession’s preferred online obituary partner, announced that they have formed a partnership with Terradise Computer Systems, makers of TerraPro Professional Funeral Home Software and Votive™ Funeral Home Websites. The integration of the two software platforms allows both TerraPro and Votive customers to take advantage of Tributes’ obituary distribution network, which currently reaches 2.5M consumers each month.

For TerraPro clients, a data bridge has been developed which connects the TerraPro and Tributes.com databases, allowing information to seamlessly flow between the two environments, facilitating the automatic creation, and distribution of obituaries programmatically generated from TerraPro case records.  Votive website customers alternatively have the option to have their obituary sections fully powered by Tributes.com.  The seamless integration of Tributes’ state-of-the art, multi-media obituary products foster family engagement right at the funeral home website by allowing family members via a secure login to enhance and maintain their loved one’s story in an elegant, permanent online memorial with unlimited copy, photos, video, music and much more.  All obituary records which flow from the Terradise platforms to Tributes.com showcase the funeral home’s branding as well as funeral home controlled advertising promoting the purchase of flowers and sympathy gifts, pre-need planning, and other funeral home services and information.

“Tributes.com is helping funeral homes create a new revenue stream from the very lucrative print obituary business. The rising cost of traditional print obituaries in newspapers combined with the declining readership is driving more and more people to the Internet to locate obituary news and service information. Tributes is helping thousands of funeral homes across the country to capitalize on that trend, and through our partnership we are helping our clients take full advantage of the power of their platform with technology solutions that leverage existing operations making obituary creation as easy as clicking a button” say David Haldeman, President of Terradise Computer Systems, Inc.

“Aligning ourselves with leading companies across funeral service has been a key component of our business strategy as we work to build a unifying obituary distribution platform that serves the industry and consumers worldwide to simplify the publication of and access to obituary news,” said John Heald, Vice President of Sales and Business Development of Tributes, Inc. “We are very pleased to be adding TerraPro to our prestigious list of industry partners who are helping make the Tributes platform available to more funeral homes across the U.S.”
