Batesville Announces 2018 Education Series Schedule for Funeral Professionals
BATESVILLE, Ind., February 13, 2018 – Batesville has just released a new lineup of free educational webinars designed to help funeral professionals enhance their knowledge on key industry and consumer topics. The 2018 Education Series, which kicks off on February 27, features quarterly sessions conducted by Batesville experts and executives. Each webinar includes a 30-minute presentation followed by an interactive question-and-answer session.
“Learning is a continuous process that yields tremendous benefits,” said Troy Turner, SVP of sales and marketing for Batesville. “We believe knowledge should be shared, and are pleased to be able to provide virtual classrooms that are accessible to all funeral professionals.”
Since launching its formal education series in 2014, the company has reached more than 2,000 funeral professionals, sharing insights and practical tips that can be used in their businesses and in serving families. Presented by Rob Shane, Director – Technology Solutions, Batesville
Tuesday, May 8, 1 p.m. (EDT)
Mobile and digital technologies have reshaped how consumers approach significant financial and life decisions, including funerals. While they often seek information online first – about products, services and pricing – increasingly, consumers are gravitating toward providers that can deliver the “experience” that meets their needs. Learn how digital tools and mobile solutions can be combined with human processes to attract and educate families, and make the funeral planning process more convenient and comforting. Rob will discuss key consumer and industry trends, how technology can support these shifts and actions you can take to drive success in your business.
► Staying Relevant in an Evolving Marketplace
Presented by Troy Turner, SVP, Sales and Marketing, Batesville
Tuesday, August 28, 1 p.m. (EDT)
Hardly a week passes without news of another respected brand closing its stores because of falling revenues. It’s easy to blame these losses on discounters and online retailers. But in many cases, the company simply lost touch with its customers, didn’t recognize the signals in the marketplace and waited too long to react. Troy will cover some of the key trends that are changing consumers’ expectations about how they engage in funeral planning and carry out end-of-life ceremonies, and what you can do to stay relevant with the families in your community.
