2017 Homesteaders Heroes Program Honors Outstanding Employees
West Des Moines, Iowa — Homesteaders Life Company, the national leader in prearranged funeral funding, has announced the recipients of its annual peer-nominated Homesteaders Heroes awards. The award program recognizes employees who demonstrate Homesteaders’ values and make a significant impact on the success of the company and its customers.
Homesteaders Heroes award winners were chosen based on nominations from their colleagues. Homesteaders EVP-HR & Administration Judy Ralston-Hansen noted that this selection process makes the recognition particularly meaningful.
“We’re pleased by the continued enthusiasm for the Homesteaders Heroes program, which gives employees an opportunity to honor each other for exceptional achievements,” Ralston-Hansen said. “This year, 39 employees were nominated for their outstanding contributions that help our company and our customers succeed.”

Innovation Award: Raisa Brodskiy, Senior Document Management/QC Specialist
This award recognizes an employee for the successful implementation of a new or updated product, service or program that results in a measurable improvement in the company’s performance, processes or brand strength.
“Raisa is a fabulous employee, a huge asset to our company and is deserving of this award and recognition,” Brodskiy’s colleague wrote on her nomination form. “She is very passionate about her job and regularly submits ideas that help us improve operations.”
