Batesville Hosts Free Book Signing with Dr. Alan Wolfelt at the 2017 NFDA Convention and Expo in Boston

BATESVILLE, Indiana, October 11, 2017 – Batesville, the leading provider of high quality products and profit-enhancing solutions to licensed funeral homes, is proud to sponsor a free book signing with Dr. Alan Wolfelt on Monday, October 30, at the 2017 National Funeral Directors Association (NFDA) Convention and Exposition in Boston. Dr. Wolfelt will be signing copies of his book, A Tale of Two Funerals – the Throw Rug and the Tapestry, in the Batesville booth (2665) from noon to 5 p.m.

In this recent work, Dr. Wolfelt introduces readers to the Williams family after the death of their grandmother, and follows their fictional journey through the funeral planning process with two different funeral directors – Sam Standard and Garrett Gatekeeper. How are these two funerals different and will the family be able to tell the difference? Through this engaging story, readers will learn the importance of educating families about the purpose and elements of funerals, from the family’s first call to the funeral home, throughout the arrangement process and the funeral service.

Author, educator and funeral service consultant, Dr. Wolfelt is a noted expert on the importance of meaningful funerals in helping grieving people heal so they can live well and love well. He is the Director of the Center for Loss and Life Transition in Fort Collins, Colorado.

In addition to the book signing, Batesville has an impressive lineup of events and activities planned during the convention, including a Hoppy Halloween craft beer tasting on Tuesday, October 31, and a drawing for a free Promethean 48 ounce polished bronze casket on Wednesday, November 1.
