Artist Marjolein Bastin Visits Messenger Headquarters

Auburn, IN: – Artist Marjolein Bastin, along with her husband Gaston and son Mischa, recently visited with Messenger team members at their Auburn, Indiana facility. Ms. Bastin’s artwork is featured in Messenger’s newest stationery series, Beyond the Meadow. Her art is most recognizable in the retail world of greeting cards, gifts, calendars and more through her long-standing partnership with retailer Hallmark®. “Artwork is a universal language that can touch the soul and speak to a viewer in a very personal way. Utilizing beautiful artwork in our designs helps us deliver products that not only look great but that communicate on a powerful emotional level,” stated Alicia Norman, Product Development Manager at Messenger.

The Messenger team treated Ms. Bastin to a plant tour, presentation on their deep-rooted company history and overview of the funeral industry and lunch. Ms. Bastin signed prints of her artwork for Messenger team members during her visit. “Having the opportunity to meet and spend the day with Ms. Bastin was remarkable” stated Heather Garman, Marketing Director at Messenger. “She is not only very gracious and tremendously talented but also very passionate about looking, listening and delivering special messages of comfort and hope through her painting. We are delighted that Ms. Bastin has joined the Messenger family.”

In honor of Ms. Bastin’s visit, Messenger awarded free Beyond the Meadow stationery box sets to funeral homes throughout the day of her visit. In addition, funeral homes who placed orders for Beyond the Meadow stationery between July 5 and July 14 received a FREE signed print of the artwork.
